The Divine Mother offers me her Rose. How rich that gift may be! I tear my flesh on its thorns and my blood flows. And then I realise, such is its scent, its beauty; how could I ever be tentative in my approach?
Roses hold so very much meaning; She can mother, re-mother, and initiate us into the re-mothering of our own hearts. May we gather in devotion to the Rose.
Roses draw out the Divine Motherly qualities within each of us. If you ponder the times when you have held a Rose in your hand, you would have done so with the utmost gentleness, understanding just how delicate and precious each petal was. And so, in this way, the Rose, which embodies qualities of the Divine Mother, awakens these Divine qualities within you.
As we gather together in sacred circle, may we tend to one another’s hearts with gentleness and care. For the heart is as delicate as the petals of Rose our hands hold. May we hold space for one another with tenderness, as we connect to the Divine Mother that is the Rose, guiding us toward the honouring of the Divine Mother within.
